Designed to provide best in class performance inside or outside, at home or in the office, the ScanSnap S300 for PC is an impressively small and robust ADF scanner.

The ScanSnap S300 is a duplex and colour A4 scanner that can be bus powered whilst on the move allowing for scanning of personal data or business critical documents. Whether for use at the office, at home or on the move this incredibly compact device will process documents at 8 pages or 16 images (double sided) per minute (when powered by the mains) or 4 pages or 8 images per minute (powered by 2 x USB).

A simple one button approach allows for instant scanning of up to 10 sheets at a time which can range in size from business card to A4 and an optional quick menu allows for easy distribution of scanned data whether to file, email, fax machine etc. The S300 scanner can automatically recognise the size of each document, detect and correct for skew, show images in the right orientation if they are scanned upside down and also remove any blank pages.

Powering the S300 can be done either through an AC power source of if this is not available then it can be powered through a PC or Macs USB port (2 ports must be available, one for power feeding and one for the USB connection).

Able to scan business cards, the S300 captures both contact information and written notes and through the CardMinder application software the user can export data to database applications.

The S300 is bundled with ScanSnap Organiser a convenient way to view your scanned data through the use of thumbnails and then stored online in simple to use filing cabinets for later retrieval. If necessary this data can be converted into searchable pdf files.
